Before Clarke could realize that he would pose a serious threat to his marriage, the man had hired photographer Mick at Spectra. Convinced of his important artistic talents, capable of transforming a simple model into a cover dress, Clarke was enthusiastic about Mick until the day he discovered, obviously at the hands of Margot, that there had been an intense affair between him and his wife in the past. Determined to get rid of him immediately and fire him, it's Sally who blocks Clarke, placing her veto and urging the man not to mix work with his private affairs, recognizing Mick's objective value with the camera. Ironically, it is soon Sally herself who regrets her choice, as soon as the charming photographer sets his eyes on her beautiful daughter. Just returned from college, finished with a diploma with honors, Macy Alexander is overjoyed to be able to re-embrace her mother Sally. There has always been a very deep, sincere and frank relationship between the two; something that is immediately apparent when an irritated Macy, disappointed to find her mother more and more involved in her work, holds against her the fact that she has spent most of her life managing Spectra Fashion, without great results, to the detriment of her daughter, who grew up in a tailor's office rather than among the games as would be normal to expect. But even though Sally has often neglected her, Macy is perfectly aware that her mother has only done this to guarantee her a better life, especially after Adam's abandonment. And it is for this reason that she accepts her mother's proposal to unite her efforts and officially get on the boat with her at the helm of Spectra. The only condition set by Macy is that she must hire her friend Donna as a model, as she has been left without a job after being fired from Spencer; a request that Sally gladly accepts, immediately noticing the girl's qualities on the catwalk. What Macy can't suspect, however, is that she soon begins to feel a sense of jealousy towards the girl, who is certainly much more extroverted and uninhibited than she is, which allows her to make Mick feel much more at ease than she does, even though she immediately takes a liking to the photographer. Thus begins a sort of competition between Macy and Donna to attract the attention of Mick, who between the two, however, seems to prefer the sweetness and genuineness of Macy.

1989 (#8) - Spectra Fashion and mystery designer Beau
With Sally Spectra more fierce and determined than ever to counter her dominance and supremacy in the glittering world of high fashion, Forrester Creations sees a rival enter the scene ready for anything to oust her. Ever since Eric founded Forrester, his lifelong dream, the enterprising and volcanic Sally has always been at the helm of her Spectra Fashion, a bitter rival of Forrester itself. However, despite Sally's efforts, the match has always been unequal, with Spectra unable to even come close to matching the extraordinary success of Eric's fashion house. All this, however, may soon change. Sally, a person who has always been very eccentric, cheerful and extroverted, finds herself with Clarke's talent, one of the most sought-after designers of the moment and, thanks to his experience at Forrester, a distant relative of the fledgling Clarke who made his bones at Spectra. Noticing the sudden interest of the press around the clothes he designed, Sally convinces herself, guided by the advice and opinions of her trusted and experienced tailor, Saul Feinberg, to enlist Clarke in their ranks. She can't do it explicitly though, since Clarke is officially a Forrester stylist and, above all, is married to Eric's daughter; she decides to do it in a hidden and anonymous way, signing her models with the false name of "Beau Rivage". A name that soon begins to arouse great curiosity among the insiders and that, thanks to the halo of mystery that surrounds it, puts Spectra Fashion even more in the limelight. The matter even ends up catching the attention of Eric and Forrester, worried by this unexpected and unpredictable news, who wonder, even in front of a very nervous Clarke, who is this mysterious Beau and who is hiding behind his identity. Sally and her assistant Darla, meanwhile, are already gloating and fretting about the upcoming fashion shows, where they will finally be able to give the hated and envied Forrester a run for their money. After years of bitter pillows and financial straits, also due to the abandonment many years ago of her husband Adam Alexander, Sally hopes to finally bring the Spectra back to its former glory.
